Conflict Resolution Suppression Team, Inc. (CRST) has been providing services for urban
community schools, specifically in the South Central Los Angeles areas, for over 10 years.
CRST is a school base public safety program that addresses school safety, student
discipline issues and juvenile delinquent behaviors.
Through its years of providing services, CRST has developed an expertise in dealing with challenges of school safety and student discipline issues that are currently being faced by most urban schools. CRST does not provide security guards, we provide “Resource Officers” which are a vital component
to our safe school learning environment. CRST’s motto is "ONE MUST CARE.”
This is true about students, their families and the communities they reside in. We do this
with respect and dignity to the students. Some of the schools we have worked in are Locke
High School, Markham Middle School and Gompers Middle School.
CRST engages in community meetings and always attempt to understand the community’s needs. CRST’s mission is to produce a safe school environment that is conducive to learning. CRST is also
proactive and uses the community policing approach to school safety as well as
implementing the “Broken Theory” to address school safety and juvenile delinquency
issues. CRST’s approach to juvenile delinquency is to provide parents with resources for
prevention and intervention programs. CRST believes in working with youth and their
families to overcome life challenges.
CRST understands that the responsibility should be shared in making sure that every staff
member is doing their part to assist these high risk families to overcome negative obstacles
and ensure that these students are being prepared for a successful and productive life.
